Rival Megagun is a PVP shmup in the vein of ADK's Twinkle Star Sprites released on the Neo Geo.

An ultimate arcade version called Rival Megagun XE co-developed between Spacewave Software and exA-Arcadia was released in 2021 on exA-Arcadia hardware. It features new arranged music by Keishi Yonao, all new Japanese anime style art replacing the original American comic style, rebalanced competitive PVP play, and 2 frame input lag.
